We will even try and find you just the property to meet your needs.Since available rental property is at a premium let us manage your property for you. For a small fee we will rent out your property, collect rents, help you take care of maintenance and basically take care of your property for you. Larry moved to Hocking County, Ohio from Columbus in 1974 after returning home from 3 years in the U.S. Peace Corps in Tonga. He quickly obtained his Ohio Engineers and Surveyors licenses. He has had the pleasure to have surveyed a large part of Hocking County as well as doing many local engineering projects.
In 1975 he was a founding partner in Hocking Valley Canoe Livery and in 1976 was elected Hocking County Engineer. Other businesses that Larry has started and is or has been involved with are Larry P. Gerstner Engineering and Surveying; Earth Works Construction, Engineering, and Surveying; Hocking Hills Properties; the Bookstore of Logan: the Amerihost Hotel chain; Olde Dutch Restaurant; Midwest Glassware Outlet; the Columbus Washboard Company; Windy Hills Golf Course; Hocking Hills Canopy Tours; Wild Zipline Safari; North Georgia Canopy Tours; Hocking Hills Winery LLC; multiple real estate development and holding companies; specialty lodgings; and the Worthington of Logan hotel.
Larry has also volunteered for a multitude of organizations serving on boards of many non profits. In 2019 he was awarded the Logan-Hocking Chamber of Commerce top award, the Barton Holl Citizenship Award; and the Hocking Hills Tourism Association top award, the Keith Fox Tourism Advancement Award.
Our Office
With all of this on his plate, but a desire to do more Larry has started Venture in Real Estate as a full service real estate company. Larry as owner and CEO is not a real estate agent and concentrates on his own properties. The company broker is Neal K Hess. Broker and owner of Venture in Conservation. Venture’s Manager Marcia Jeffrey, Associate Manager Amanda Helber, Office Assistant Holli Quick Lea Bowers and six licensed agents, Matthew Neff, Thomas Moorman, Andy Horn, Liz Horn, Anita Plew, and Bailey Simons. Venture in Real Estate covers three main branches of the real estate market:
- Residential, Land, and Commercial property listing and sales.
- Short term “cabin and lodge” overnight rentals.
- Long term residential and commercial rentals.
